Senior Product Manager

Job Description:

Beamr is seeking a Senior Product Manager who is passionate about building enterprise video products that power the Media & Entertainment industry. You will join our dynamic multi-national team and build video encoding and optimization software products that deliver on the company’s vision and strategy.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage Beamr’s enterprise video products and be the focal point for all product-released issues for Sales, Marketing and R&D
  • Create product roadmaps and define product requirements and specifications including features, interfaces, pricing and schedules
  • Interview customers, prospects and the sales team, perform market research and asses competitive products to determine product features and priorities
  • Support the marketing team in creating product marketing materials
  • Support the sales team in customer engagements with technical material and information about product features and capabilities
  • Work closely with the R&D team on the product development plans, priorities and schedules
  • Maintain technical industry knowledge by reviewing professional publications, attending trade shows, conferences, seminars and webinars, participating in standardization body activities and establishing personal professional networks
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Product Management role
  • Solid technical background in software engineering, broadcast engineering, and OTT streaming technologies
  • Proven experience in developing or managing video encoding or transcoding software products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional multi-national teams

Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

Beamr is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help build the world's best photo optimization tools. This is a senior role, focused on developing new features as well as maintaining our existing JPEGmini solutions. Successful candidates will have a strong all-round development background with experience in both desktop and server side development (Windows / Linux).

Job Responsibilities:
  • Join our JPEGmini development team to support and further develop our consumer and enterprise products
  • Work closely with fellow team members, product, and QA to develop new features
  • Lead Windows development
  • Work closely with sales team to support products

Required Skills:
  • At least 10 years of experience in SW development
  • At least 5 years of experience in C/C++

Video Analysis Researcher and Developer

This is a position with our video processing and analysis R&D team in Saint-Petersburg (Russia), working on leading technologies and products used in computer vision to support video coding and advanced video analysis functionality. Our group strives to provide an energetic atmosphere that encourages the free exchange of ideas and opinions with a focus on professional growth.

Responsibilities of the position:
  • Participation in development and implementation of algorithms for video preprocessing, analysis and compression.
Requirements of the position:
  • Degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or electrical engineering.
  • Interest and experience with image and video processing and computer vision technology.
  • Fluency in C/C++
  • Ability to meet deadlines and commitments in a fast paced environment.
  • Quick and independent learner with an interest in R&D.
  • Good English level writing with ability to read technical literature and large volumes of technical papers.
Strongly preferred:
  • Experience with OpenCV and Python.
  • Familiarity with video coding and analysis technologies.
